THE DIGITAL STORY OF THE NATIVITY told through Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare

5:13 PM

Ironically, it was THIS video that put me in the Christmas spirit! It celebrates the birth of Jesus and shows the brilliant minds of the men and women on earth who can honor him in such a contemporary way.

This video brought back to me the true spirit of Christmas with humility and laughter.

The Nativity story has been told many times, many ways.

But never like this.

A popular new YouTube video tells the Christmas story as if it happened today -- completely through social media.

From the Annunciation to the journey of the Magi, the 3-minute video rolls through a condensed version of events as written in the Bible.

Mary and Joseph use Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare to keep their friends updated. The couple find their way from Nazareth to Bethlehem using Google Maps. And the three wise men pick up gold, frankincense and myrrh on Amazon.

Who knew?

The video was posted by Excentric, a Portuguese digital marketing company. In the post, Excentric says, “Times change, the feeling remains the same.”
